Blushing Princess Peach Pie!

Nintendo has officially dubbed August "Princess Peach Month"*, so I couldn't pass up doing something special for the "Super Mario" franchise's leading lady! (I do wish she'd get a whole celebratory year though...). I've had this pie in mind for a while now and figured this was the perfect time to do it. Besides the crown on the top, what makes this pie special is the "blushing" part which is obtained by the addition of those little cinnamon "Red Hots" candies. "Sweet!" "Here we go!"

* In 1982, President Reagan declared July "National Peach Month" but since then it has shifted to August (both July and August are prime peach picking times).
"Soo peachy!"

Banana Guard Popsicles | "Adventure Time"

While not the freshest fruit in the basket, the banana guards are very loyal to Princess Bubblegum and serve as security guards, bodyguards, emergency services, police, and military. Like the LSP berry popsicles, this very easy recipe is adapted from the Zoku Quick Pop Maker recipe book. There are so many great ideas in there! But don't worry, you can totally do this with a regular popsicle mold too.

Big Belly Burger Bacoshake | DC Universe Online

In the DC Comics MMORPG "DC Universe Online" (B's fav game) aside from doing big storyline missions, you can do many little quests like "collections", "investigations", and "briefings", most of which reward you with style tokens or outfit pieces to customize your character. One specific briefing deals with the Big Belly Burger fast food franchise (as seen in many issues of various DC Comics as well as CW's "Arrow" and "Flash" TV shows), in which you search for certain blue exclamation points that give you advertisements for four different offerings from the franchise. One particular ad found in Gotham's Diamond District is for BBB's Bakoshake; a chocolatey, bacon-y milkshake that I couldn't pass up!

"Welcome to Big Belly Burger, a LexCorp company. Have a belly-busting day with our new Big Belly Bacoshake! All the delicious flavor of bacon and chocolate in a single cup! May I take your order?"

Watermelon Popsicles | "Ever After High: Spring Unsprung"

Happy National Watermelon day! I couldn't let this day pass without posting this "Ever After High" treat! "Ever After High" is a series of fashion dolls by Mattel, that also has its own web series and Netflix deal (it's the sister series to Mattel's "Monster High"). These pops are from the EAH movie "Spring Unsprung" in which the character Raven Queen (daughter of the Evil Queen) enters a cooking competition with her homemade watermelon popsicles, only to loose because her frenemy–the usually oh-too-chipper-and-nice–Apple White (daughter of Snow White) cheats and sprinkles pepper flakes on the pops! What is up, Apple?!

"Wicked watermelon pops! Just the refreshing thing I need...!"
Spellebrity Chef Jack Horner, "Ever After High: Spring Unsprung"
